Microneedling for a Gorgeous Complexion

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure involving using a device containing fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin gently to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through this process, there is an improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as a reduction in acne, scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

The Gambhir Microneedling Procedure

Our advanced professionals always deliver safe and effective treatment with experience and skill using the FDA-approved Skin Pen. There are two depths of Microneedling, spa-depth, and medical-depth. Spa depth Microneedling goes 0.5 mm deep and is ideal for skin rejuvenation. Medical depth Microneedling is suitable for scar revision and more aggressive collagen building at a depth of 2.5-4mm.

Microneedling can be safely performed on all skin types, though pre-treatment and post-treatment with Even & Correct Advanced Brightening Cream may be needed. There is minimal risk of pigment change or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Microneedling can treat sensitive and fragile areas that are difficult to treat with other procedures. These areas include the eyes, the neck, and the back of the hands.

Is Microneedling Safe?

Microneedling is a safe skin treatment when performed by a medical esthetician, nurse, or physician. This treatment is safest when done sterilely in a clinical environment.

Are There Side Effects of Microneedling?

There are virtually no adverse side effects. The few that do exist are swelling or bruising during the recovery phase. A herpes simplex virus (cold sore) outbreak is possible if you have a history of them. Since the tiny 'micro-wounds' close within one hour, post-procedure infections are extremely unlikely.

What Will I Look Like After Treatment?

Most people will experience redness and mild swelling, similar to a mild sunburn. There may be minimal pin-point bleeding or bruising. After those symptoms subside, your skin will look smoother and more radiant.

What Is the Downtime After Microneedling Treatment?

The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish. To reduce visible redness, we recommend hyaluronic acid after the procedure and protecting the skin with SPF 50+ sunblock outdoors.

How Many Microneedling Treatments Will I Need?

Microneedling can be safely repeated until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction, we recommend starting with three treatments. The number of treatments required will depend on how each individual responds to the treatments and the extent of the damage. Microneedling can be used on multiple parts of the body—neck, décolleté, arms, legs, etc. Most people will begin to see results after just one session.

What Should I Avoid on My Skin After Microneedling Treatment?

Do not use products with AHAs, retinol, or acidic ingredients after microneedling to ensure optimal healing. Exposure to sun should also be avoided, and sunblock should be used.

Can microneedling can be combined with PRP and exosomes?

Yes! We often recommend the powerful combination of microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and exosomes for a comprehensive and rejuvenating skincare approach. PRP, derived from the patient's blood, contains growth factors that enhance tissue repair and promote a youthful complexion. Exosomes, extracellular vesicles loaded with regenerative signals, amplify the rejuvenating effects. These modalities work synergistically to address various skin concerns, from fine lines and wrinkles to overall skin texture improvement. This integrated approach harnesses the body's natural healing abilities, providing our patients with a personalized and effective solution for radiant and revitalized skin.
