IPL Photorejuvenation Post-Care Guidelines

Please follow these instructions after your IPL or Q Switched treatment. If you have any questions, please call our office at 610-518-7546.

  • You may experience mild redness with swelling and possible bruising.
  • Immediately inform the doctor if you feel any residual tingling post-treatment.
  • You may apply OTC hydrocortisone to the treated area if redness occurs.
  • If you have any open skin areas or dry areas please use Aquaphor to keep the area moist.
  • You should not pick or scratch the treated areas.
  • You should use sunscreen SPF 30 or greater daily.
  • Keep sun exposure minimal to nil for the first week.
